China and the United States may seem to be geographically and culturally opposite. So not true.  This cross section of the hole I dug from the US to China shows how the fiery depths of Hades are avoided, simply because digging a hole to China from the USA does not involve going through the center of the Earth.  Which is good, because I didn’t want to go there and it made digging the hole that much easier.  And I would even argue China and the US are not cultural opposites as well, but that’s for another time.
